Eileen de los Reyes is the Assistant Superintendent for English Language Learners (ELLs) in the Boston Public Schools. In this capacity she supervises the successful implementation and monitoring of the Settlement Agreement with the USDOJ/OCR (April 2012) impacting 17,000 ELLs and establishes a research agenda in collaboration with the Gastón Institute, U-Mass Boston to improve outcomes for ELLs. Previously de los Reyes was a Research Associate at the Gaston Institute where she published the work: If our Students Fail, We Fail. If they Succeed, We Succeed: Case Studies of Five Boston Public Schools (2008).
Eileen de los Reyes es la superintendente asistente para el programa “English Language Learners†de Boston Public Schools. En este cargo supervisa la implementación y seguimiento del convenio gubernamental de abril de 2012 que afecta a 17,000 estudiantes de inglés y establece una agenda de investigación en colaboración con el Instituto Gastón de UMass para mejorar los resultados de los aprendices de inglés de las escuelas públicas de Boston. Anteriormente, de los Reyes trabajó como investigadora asociada en el Instituto Gastón donde publicó la obra: “Si nuestros estudiantes fallan, fallamos. Si tienen éxito, tenemos éxito: Estudios de casos de cinco Escuelas Públicas de Boston†(2008).
