After 25 working as director of the Citywide Hispanic Center of ABCD, Jenny Cintron retired in 2012 from that organization. The renowned community activist is developing the areas of public relations and promotion of the Mass. Puerto Rican Festival and is also part of the mentoring group “Latinas for Change†for ¿Oíste?. This group seeks to promote civic education among Latinas and motivate them to participate in municipal elections. Cintrón has also been volunteer on the boards of several organizations including Casa Nueva Vida, Match-up Interfaith Volunteers, Child Care Choices of Boston, and Community Partnerships Resources Network.
Después de 25 años trabajando como directora del Citywide Hispanic Center de ABCD, Jenny Cintrón se retiró en 2012 de esa organización. La reconocida activista comunitaria se encuentra trabajando en las relaciones públicas y promoción del Festival Puertorriqueño de Mass. y es también mentora del grupo Latinas por un Cambio de la organización ¿Oíste?. Este grupo busca promover la educación cívica entre las latinas y motivarlas a que acudan a las urnas para las elecciones municipales.
