Freelance photographer Dominic Chávez has been a photojournalist for the last 20 years, traveling to more than 50 counties. He has covered events from the Boston Ballet to the washing of the dead in the morgues of Iraq during the war. From 2006※2012 he helped produced eight books on global health issues. Current projects range from AIDS, multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, maternal and infant mortality and access to clean water issues. His work has been exhibited internationally and recognized with many awards, including the National Press Photographers Association Award.
El fotógrafo independiente Dominic Chávez se ha dedicado al fotoperiodismo en los últimos 20 años, y ha viajado por más de 50 países. Ha cubierto eventos tan diversos que van desde el Ballet de Boston hasta el lavado de los muertos en la morgue de Iraq durante la guerra. Su trabajo ha sido exhibido internacionalmente y reconocido con numerosos premios, incluyendo el premio de la Asociación Nacional de Fotógrafos de Prensa.
