Boston All Stars celebrated a salsa concert this past week, where those present went back into the past at the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts, 70A’s style, to recognize leaders of the latino community.
On Thursday May 24th, four people received Jorge Hernandez Leadership Awards: Carmen Acaba Torres (FounderA’s Award); Jose Mateo of the Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre (Arts Award); David Morales of Steward Health Care (Civic Award); and Juan Carlos Morales of State Street Global Advisors (Corporate Award).
The celebration included music, delicious food, and of course, a lot of dance!
Inquilinos Boricuas en AcciA\0xB3n (IBA) will use the funds it collected to assist the arts, technology, economic development, education, and the elderly in the Lower Roxbury and South End community.
