A monument for our Puerto Rican veterans

Did you know that Puerto Rican or people of Puerto Rican decent have participated in the American Arm Forces since the Revolutionary War of 1776? Puerto Ricans take great pride in their heirtage and fiercely support the principles behind freedom and democracy. The Puerto Rican Veterans Monument Square Association (PRVMSA) was created to raise funds to build a national monument in honor of the Puerto Rican men and women that served on all American wars.

This past Memorial Day, PRVMSA founders Jaime Rodriguez & Tony Molina, members of the board, Veterans, and supporters including City Counsilors, Felix G. Arroyo and John Connolly, helped install a banner as a reminder of where the monument will stand.
