Wednesday, April 25th: The Independent Film Festival of Boston brings eight days of movies, panel discussions and events

BostonÂ- The tenth annual Independent Film Festival of Boston (IFFBoston) will take place April 25- May 2, 2012. The festival will take place at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square, the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, and the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline. This prestigious celebration of independent movies, complete with over 130 film screenings, filmmaker Q&A sessions, panel discussions, visiting filmmakers, parties and events will showcase the best in current American and International cinema.

«SLEEPWALK WITH ME» directed by Mike Birbiglia and written by Mike Birbiglia and Ira Glass will open the 10th annual festival on April 25th at the Somerville Theatre. Co-writer, «This American Life«Â’s Ira Glass will be in attendance on Opening Night.

«THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES«, directed by Lauren Greenfield, will close the festival on Wednesday May 2nd at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. This will mark the third appearance by Greenfield at the festival, who won IFFBostonÂ’s Grand Jury Prize in 2006 with the gripping documentary THIN. Director Lauren Greenfield will be in attendance on Closing Night.

DARK HORSE, starring Howard Gelber, Selma Blair, Aasif Mandvi, Mia Farrow, and Christopher Walken, and. Director Todd Solondz will be in attendance
KEYHOLE, with director Guy Maddin in attendance
– The World Premiere of the feature documentaries FROM NOTHING, SOMETHING with director Tim Cawley in attendance, LOVE AND OTHER ANXIETIES with director Lyda Kuth in attendance, TIME ZERO: THE LAST YEAR OF POLAROID FILM with director Grant Hamilton in attendance, and ALL-AGES: THE BOSTON HARDCORE FILM with director Drew Stone in attendance
– Special Sneak Preview screening of the documentary PLIMPTON! STARRING GEORGE PLIMPTON AS HIMSELF with directors Tom Bean and Luke Poling in attendance
– Special Sneak Preview screening of the documentary KNUCKLEBALL! featuring former Boston Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield and NY Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey, with directors Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg in attendance
– So Yong KimÂ’s powerful FOR ELLEN starring Paul Dano
