Last chance to see Degas and the Nude at the MFA

Only two weeks remain before Degas and the Nude closes at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), and travels to Paris, France. On view through Sunday, February 5th only, this is the last chance to enjoy some of most rare and beautiful works in the world by Edgar Degas and other acclaimed artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Â*Since opening last October, nearly 170,000 visitors have toured this one-of-a-kind exhibition that explores the nude figure, critical to the art of Degas. Co-organized by the MFA and the Musée dÂ’Orsay in Paris, the show features paintings, pastels, drawings, prints, and sculpture.

Â*The exhibition was cited as the «Best Show of 2011» by The Boston Globe and one of the «Best of Art 2011» by The Wall Street Journal.

Â*This is the first time many of these works, including the iconic paintings The Tub and La Toilette, have ever been displayed in the United States. The show includes 60 rare loans from the Orsay in Paris and from other lenders around the world.
