Since 2007 when he established the Latin Pride National Awards in Lawrence, Matias has kept recognizing the accomplishments of Latinos in the north-American culture. In 2009, Matias brought the awards to Boston counting with the participation of the Dominican artist Héctor Acosta «El Torito», amongst many others.
