Over 300 people attended the event which helped La Alianza Hispana raise nearly $11,000. These funds will support the educational, workforce, mental health and public health services we provide to nearly 10,000 families every year.
The event brought together all corners of the Latino community to the rhythm of plena, salsa, meringue and bachata. It was great to see the community coming together to support the programs and services that La Alianza has provided to the community for more than 40 years.
Founded in 1971, La Alianza Hispana is the starting point for over 2,000 Latinos annually who seek support at all stages of their life. La Alianza Hispana provides culturally and linguistically appropriate health and education programs to the Latino Community of Greater Boston. With recent budget cuts, our programs are at risk and it is up to us to save these services for the Latino community.
