Get ready to move those bodies because «Dancing Under the Stars» is returning to the Esplanade this summer! Last year The Esplanade Association (TEA), a non-profit organization working to restore and enhance Boston’s historic Esplanade, partnered up with World Rhythms™ Dance & Fitness, a professional dance company, to offer «Dancing Under the Stars,» a free dance program that met weekly on the Esplanade in front of the DCR Hatch Shell. After a successful season last summer with over 1,000 participants, we are pleased to announce the return of this exhilarating event. Every Thursday night from 6-8 p.m., professional dance instructors will introduce a new style of dance including Ballroom, Salsa, Bollywood and more. The first hour will consist of free dance lessons followed by an hour of open dance. It’s time to bring out the dancing shoes, free up your Thursday nights and get ready for another summer of learning and improving those dance moves!

«Dancing Under the Stars» will have its opening kickoff on Thursday, July 15th. Up first: SALSA! Also included in the kickoff event will be our announcement of the following week’s dance styles. New styles will be introduced every Thursday until the grand finale on August 19th!

The program is not only a great way to learn new dance techniques, but is a great way to get some fresh air, meet new people and even burn some calories! People of all ages and abilities- children, adults, beginners and experienced dancers- are encouraged to come out and dance the night away. With members coming from all around the community, you will not need to come with a dance partner. All you will need is an open mind and a little confidence!

Dates and dances are weather permitting and subject to change, so please check our website at www.esplanadeassociation.org before each dance date.
