Díaz has published two novels, Drown and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 2008. In addition to numerous short stories and essays, many of them that have been published in The New Yorker. He is active in a number of organizations. This is his third consecutive year on the list.
