On Centro Presente reminds members of the Salvadoran community who are eligible to renew their Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The clinic will be held Saturday, July 31st from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 17 Inner Belt Road in Somerville, MA.

Recently, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) publicly announced the period of renewal of TPS for Salvadorans. TPS is a temporary immigration status granted to eligible nationals of designated countries. TPS beneficiaries will not be required to leave the United States and may obtain work authorization for the initial TPS period and for any extensions of the designation.

«It is very important for us to motivate the members of our community to participate in a proactive way in advocating for a just and humane immigration reform that provides permanent residence to all members of the community, including those present under TPS, as well as undocumented immigrants,» said Patricia Montes, Executive Director of Centro Presente.
