Born in Ecuador, Alex is a producer, bassist, music arranger and singer with a musical career of more than 26 years. Founder of the local group Mango Blue or its variation Manguito. Besides being an active promoter and producer of the arts and the Latin culture in New England, he has a role of manager of an artistic production in Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. Alvear was in the PowerMeter in 2007.

Nacido en Ecuador, Alex es un compositor, arreglista, bajista y cantante con una carrera musical de más de 26 años. Fundó la agrupación local Mango Blue y su variación, Manguito, además de que ha sido un activo promotor y productor de las artes y la cultura latina en Nueva Inglaterra en su rol de gerente de programación artística en Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. Alvear estuvo en el Poderómetro en 2007.
