The Boston Globe reports that Senator Kennedy, who has been battling brain cancer, returned to the Senate against his doctor’s advice to cast the deciding vote on a Medicare bill. Because of Kennedy’s vote the Republican Party will not be able to cut Medicare payments to doctors by 10.6% as they had hoped to do.
