A total of seven teams of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) from Massachusetts and Connecticut will play against a team of collegiate baseball players from Dominican Republic in the first series that celebrates Latino heritage and talent for sports. The series, sponsored by Nokona Sporting Goods and coordinated by local Latino leaders, former baseball players and sports entrepreneurs, was created to help promote integration of the Latino community to the American culture through sports passion.

The team of Dominican players «Dominican All Stars», organized by Dave Valdez of Valdez Academy, will travel throughout New England from July 6st to July 15th of 2008 to play a series in the following dates and locations:

With the collaboration of media partners and sports supporters we will be able to motivate and encourage attendance and break up paradigms that inhibit the Latino population from going to baseball games, the most prized sport among the largest Latino groups in New England.
