The library at Roxbury Community College will celebrate African American History Month by presenting two outstanding displays.

The first display is «A Timeline of African American History.» The 34-foot long display features 183 pictures and captions and portrays the arrival of the first Africans to Jamestown, Virginia in 1619 to the election of Barak Obama as U.S. President in 2008.

The other display is the «Third Annual African American Quilt Exhibit.» This exhibit is an exquisite collection of two dozen hand-made quilts dramatically hung near the library entrance.

The two displays will be up through March 15, 2009.

The Roxbury Community College Library is located on the second floor of the Academic Building (Building 3) at RCC. Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.; Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.; Saturday, 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
