Washington Bank, today announced the addition of Melvin Tutiven as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager of its newest branch location at 515 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. Tutiven, a former branch manager for Citizen’s Bank, will build upon Mt. Washington Bank’s reputation for good corporate citizenship and exemplary customer service. Tutiven will also focus on bringing Mt. Washington Banks Totally Free Checking product and other business products to the local business community. With the addition of the Roxbury Highland Branch, Mt. Washington Bank now has six branches located in South Boston, Dorchester and Jamaica Plain with combined assets over $550 million.

The Roxbury Highland Branch of Mt. Washington Bank, formerly the site of Roxbury Highland Bank which merged with Mt. Washington Bank earlier this year, will undergo renovations later this year with an estimated completion date of Spring 2009. The branch will remain open during renovations.
