On Friday, July 25, 2008, the Boston Public Library (BPL) Foundation will host its first ever «Cocktails in the Courtyard,» with the Young Professionals (and other young friends of the BPL) celebrating the Library from the dazzling McKim Building Courtyard.
The cocktail gathering will give Boston’s hippest younger set the chance to raise funds in support of the BPLF’s mission to enhance branch programs and facilities, improve access to the Library through new technologies, preserve special collections, and complete the final phase of the National Historic Landmark McKim Building restoration.
Cocktails in the Courtyard: Music, Mix and Mingle, will begin at 6:30 with 250 young supporters of the BPL dancing to the festive tunes of the Hang Ten band, enjoying the courtyard and splendor of the historic Copley Square Library and mingling for an incredible cause ‘till 11:00pm. The event is expected to draw Boston’s emerging business, community, cultural and social leaders for an exciting summer soiree under the stars. For ticket information call 617-247-8980.
