Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives reign at Boston’s TD Garden

In addition to being the home of the Boston Celtics and the Bruins, the TD Garden often hosts mega-concerts from huge music acts such as Madonna and U2. While it’s not unusual to have a sold-out show at the TD Garden when you are bringing Rush, Roger Waters, or Prince; few would have imagined that two Salsa and Vallenato acts would sell almost every seat at the legendary Boston venue.

The historic night of Friday, October 9th, saw almost 20,000 people enjoying a double bill of Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives.
“We are from Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela… and we are living in this country where we are a bigger group called Latinos!”, said Marc Anthony during a full house concert billed as “UNI2” (Unidos, or United) at the TD Garden in Boston. A crowd of almost 20,000 cheered the Latin music megastar when he said that as Latinos we should be united and support each other in the United States.
»UNIDO2,» was a spectacular musical experience with two of the most celebrated stars of Latin music, Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives.

In their performance, Anthony and Vives’ fans were treated to the artists’ biggest hits, getting access to two full three-plus hours concerts under the same roof.
This concert in Boston and the whole tour is put together by Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), the largest producer of Latin music concerts in the United States. CMN’s roster of current and former artists include superstars such as Marc Anthony, Juan Gabriel, Chayanne, Ricardo Arjona, Daddy Yankee, Shakira, Pitbull, Romeo Santos, and Luis Miguel among others.

Since 2003, CMN has been bringing its multicultural expertise to deliver some of the most engaging lifestyle events including music sponsorship tours, international soccer matches, and a myriad of other engagements across the U.S and abroad.
»For me it’s always a great pleasure to share the stage with my longtime friend Carlos Vives, with whom I have worked with in the past.

Sharing the stage with him is truly an honor. His energy and professionalism are really contagious, so get ready, because I’m sure we are all going to have an amazing time.» expressed Marc Anthony at the beginning of the gig that will cover 11 markets in the United States.
»Being in concert with Marc brings the music experience to a whole different level. The exchange of energy gives audiences a sense of intimacy and singing with Marc it’s always a fun and endearing experience,” said Carlos Vives.

So, how was the concert? “Last night was amazing!! Great, great show!,” said Vanessa, a fan of Marc Anthony on Facebook. “Proud to be Colombian!,” said Michelle, a fan of Carlos Vives on her Social Media Platforms. We agree with them. Marc Anthony, one of the most influential artists of his time and a true ambassador of Latin music and culture; and Carlos Vives, one of Colombia’s most iconic artists and Latin music’s most important figures; put together an unforgettable night.

The thousands of fans that witnessed this show are a living proof that the Hispanic market is strong in Boston and the producers, CMN, know that. We are looking forward to Juan Luis Guerra show next February 6, 2016.
