Mattapan, MA – Small Smiles Dental Centers of Mattapan will offer Back-to-School Dental Screenings on Saturday, August 28 at their location at 90 River Street. Free screenings will be offered from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and are part of an effort to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy smile year round.
«Every year, students lose more than 51 million hours in the classroom because of dental-related problems,» said Dr. Ricky Smith, Lead Dentist at Small Smiles of Mattapan. «Dental problems in young children can lead to a variety of health and developmental challenges including chronic pain, poor nutrition, distraction from learning and self-esteem issues that arise from a having a less-than-perfect smile. We are pleased to invite area students and parents to our dental center to help ensure a healthy and successful school year for Mattapan’s children.»
