Born as Miguel Duran, Fuego identified music as his passion from an early age. His talent for music was innate. His father was a musician and was committed to teaching his son everything he knew about music. Fuego identifies his purpose as a musican as «bringing something different to the table…wanting to really blow up the genre, and bring out the soul of Latin hip-hop.»
Fuego’s first attempt at stardom was in 1998 when he formed a group called 3MEN2 (Tremendo). Each member was passionate about music, but times were difficult. They couldn’t sustain themselves on music alone and the members eventually decided to go their separate ways. Despite the broken band, Fuego didn’t stop pursuing music. He continued writing song after song and eventually was given the chance to perform solo at a college.
From auditoriums to radio shows Fuego was working hard around the Maryland and D.C. area to gain practice and recognition as a musician. At one of Fuego’s performances he met the duo Plan B who introduced him to producer Boy Wonder. After recording «Me Gustan Todas» which was within the top 5 singles featured on the album «El Draft 05», Fuego signed with Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment.
Fuego was all over Chose Few’s latest album, which featured Fuego’s international hit produced by Boy Wonder «Mi Alma Se Muere» and features Pitbull and Omega. This hit song was played nationwide over the radio and earned over 24 weeks on the Billboard Charts.
