International soccer returns to «America’s Most Beloved Ballpark» as legendary Scottish Premier League contender Celtic Football Club go head-to-head with Portuguese futebol club Sporting Clube de Portugal in this historic event which will highlight some of the sport’s top talent. .
This match will mark the 19th soccer game played on the hallowed grounds of Fenway Park. The last time soccer was played at the ballpark was on July 9, 1968 when the Boston Beacons faced Brazil’s Santos F.C. featuring the legendary Pele on the team’s roster.
