Funny People, a Facinating and Complex Comedy

Funny People, a comedy/drama starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan, premiered in Hollywood last night.  Written and co-produced by current King of comedy Judd Apatow, Funny People is a funny, and at times moving comedy about a successful but unhappy comedian, George Simmons (Sandler) who is diagnosed with terminal leukemia and begins to examine his life.  Finding that he has few genuine friendships, he searches for and finds one in Ira (Rogan), a struggling comedian, whom he takes under his wing.  The movie, which was well-received in preview screenings, has already been called a «return to form» for Adam Sandler.  Funny People hits theatres July 31st.
