BLO’s Carmen close to selling out

Boston Lyric Opera’s (BLO’s) new production of Bizet’s Carmen, which opened this past Friday, November 6 at the Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theater in Boston, is very close to selling out with 91% of seats currently filled.

There are four more performances of Carmen left: this Wednesday, November 11 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 13 at 7:30pm; Sunday, November 15 at 3pm; and Tuesday, November 17 at 7:30pm. Tickets are still available at blo.org, 866.348.9738 (TTY 888.889.8587), or in person at the Citi Performing Arts Center Box Office at 270 Tremont Street, Boston, Tuesday -Saturday, 12noon-6pm. Group and student discounts are available.

Carmen kicks off BLO’s expanded 2009-2010 Season which includes a fourth opera: a new production of Britten’s The Turn of the Screw which will make Boston history by being the first opera performed in The Castle at Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers.
