Then dust off your party duds and join more than 500 donors and friends of Boston’s renowned Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) for the second annual «IN Party» at the InterContinental Hotel Boston, Saturday, September 26, 2009 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will celebrate the highly acclaimed institution’s commitment to community health initiatives. Rob & Karen Hale, along with the voice of WEEI, Glenn Ordway and his wife Sarah, will co-chair an evening that features a sumptuous meal and a live auction with such rare items up for bid as dinner in your home with Ming Tsai cooking and Lenny Clarke entertaining or private pitching lessons from Curt Schilling for you or perhaps your favorite Little League player. Why is good to be IN?
Community health is at the heart of the BWH mission. The funds raised for the event will benefit BWH health centers (Brookside, Southern Jamaica Plain and 10 additional affiliated centers) and their programs, which meet the healthcare needs of some of Massachusetts most at-risk residents. These programs include the Birth Equity Initiative and the Perinatal Case Management Programs, both focused on reducing infant mortality; Passageway, a domestic violence prevention program; Connecting Hope, Assistance and Treatment Program, which offers financial support for women with breast cancer; Open Doors to Health, a colorectal cancer screening program; and youth programs such as the Student Success Jobs Program, the Summer Science Academy, Health and Science Clubs, and the Pen Pal Program.
