SPOTLIGHT: COLOMBIA
Take a look at the list of music acts touring Colombia during October, November and December this year. Colombia is becoming a hot spot for music festivals and a popular stop for major acts on tour! In October 2016, the Lollapalooza Festival will celebrate the first ever “Lolla Colombia” in Bogotá. “It’s Bogotá or nothing. While South America is a non-stop party in the spring and summer, it’s only proper that Colombia shares the Lolla love, too. Lolla Colombia’s inaugural year begins in 2016,” wrote the organizers of Lollapalooza.
Anglo music lovers in Colombia don’t need to envy Boston’s music scene as they will also have the opportunity to see Florence + The Machine, Mumford & Sons, The Flaming Lips, Alabama Shakes, Tame Impala and more at the “Estereo Picnic” festival that will take place in Bogotá on March 10th, 11th and 12th of 2016.
Did I mention that early March is still cold and dark in Boston? Festivals like “Estereo Picnic” could be a good excuse to escape the cold and enjoy some sightseeing and cool shows in Colombia. After all, traveling to South America is now easier thanks to airlines like Copa that connects Boston with several South American capitals such as Bogota in an easy daily flight from Logan Airport.
