MIRA y un grupo de organizaciones amigas de los inmigrantes invitan a la comunidad a una proyección gratuita del filme de José Antonio Vargas titulado “Documented”. Se trata del estreno de este filme en Boston y se llevará a cabo el próximo martes 24 de junio a las 6:30pm en la Boston Public Library de Copley (700 Boylston Street).
Después de la proyección del filme se realizará una discusión sobre la inmigración y la reforma migratoria, y qué significa esto para Boston.

Define American, The Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New England, Welcome.us, the Mayor’s Office of New Bostonians, and the Arlington International Film Festival will host local leaders and immigrant community for the Boston premiere of Jose Antonio Vargas’ film “Documented”, in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 6:30pm at The Boston Public Library Central Library.
Following the film, writer and director Vargas, Executive Director of MIRA Eva Millona, and author of new book “Undocumented: How Immigration Became Illegal” (Beacon Press) Aviva Chomsky, will join a discussion moderated by WGBH Executive Producer of National Programming Judith Vecchione about the power of culture in shaping how people talk about immigration and immigration reform, and what that means for the Boston community.
Introductory remarks will be given by Agnes Chang of the Mayor’s Office of New Bostonians; ADL Regional Director Robert Trestan; and Arlington International Film Festival’s Executive Director April Ranck.
