Veronica Robles is a Mariachi singer by trade but has become a cultural icon for Latinos in Boston. She has utilized the power of the arts and culture to bring the community together by raising awareness on the importance of diversity and she has empowered the youth by employing them and teaching them about their roots and culture. Veronica was honored by Mayor Walsh with a mural with her image in East Boston; Mayor also appointed her to the leadership board for the Boston Creates initiative. Willy Lopez is a sound engineer, music and video producer, specialized on Latin American music with a comprehensive career in television and performing arts productions. He has worked in marketing for more than 45 years. Currently Mr. Lopez is the President of LTV Productions Corp. and the music director and lead guitar of the Veronica Robles Mariachi ensemble. Verónica and Willy Robles founded the Veronica Robles Cultural Center that supports community action and economic growth in East Boston and offers Latin American arts and culture programs.
Verónica Robles es una cantante de Mariachi que se ha convertido en un icono cultural para los latinos en Boston. Ha utilizado el poder de las artes y la cultura para reunir a la comunidad mediante la sensibilización sobre la importancia de la diversidad y ha potenciado a los jóvenes empleándolos y enseñándoles acerca de sus raíces y cultura. Ha trabajado en marketing por más de 45 años. Actualmente, es Presidente de LTV Productions Corp. y director musical del conjunto Veronica Robles Mariachi. Ambos, Verónica y Willy, son los fundadores del Centro Cultural Veronica Robles, que apoya la acción comunitaria y el crecimiento económico en East Boston y ofrece programas de cultura y arte latinoamericanos.
